Illinois State Police”75th” Anniversary Badge sealed in Lucite.
This is a Police Memorabilia Item.
Item is an authentic “OBSOLETE” “75th” Anniversary Badge that was made by V. H. Blackinton for the Illinois State Police to celebrate the agency’s “75th” anniversary. Initials for V. H. Blackinton (V.H.B.) are visible on the back in the upper right hand corner of the badge. Please see the attached photos. Item measures 3″ by 3″. V. H. Blackinton was a major supplier of Illinois State Police badges for many years.
The anniversary badge was worn by the Illinois State Police during the organization’s “75th” anniversary. Officer’s anniversary badges had unique numeric identifiers on the front face and a pin clasp backing so that they could be worn and displayed on the uniform shirt as allowed by department guidelines and regulations concerning the wearing of designated anniversary badges during the celebration period.
