Observations upon Vegetation. By Mr. Mustel of the Acad. of Sciences
at Rouen; translated from the French”
was
read to the Royal Society on January 14, 1773. The paper
describes
some experiments and observations by the author to assess whether the
sap in plants circulates, as the blood in animals. The work entails
experiments designed to see results which could lead to the
conclusion of circulating or non-circulating sap.
The
item is a First Edition, extracted and disbound from The
Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society, Vol. 63, Part I For
the Year 1773, pages 126-136. This volume of the transactions was
published in London in 1774. The disbound item is approximately 6 1/4
